How to Create a Beautiful Home by Collecting Art

Art Collecting Blog

You have reached this page because you are looking to decorate not only a beautiful home, but a home that has personality, and a story. When a new person enters your home for the first time, you want to show them round and give them an idea of the type of person that you are, and every piece of furniture should reflect your personality and lifestyle. Today we are talking about art which is somewhat of a touchy subject when it comes to interior design. There are lots of ways to decorate your walls with art and we are going to show you the best ways to do so.

First of all, make a mood board. We cannot stress this enough. Create a Pinterest account and begin finding images of interior design that fits the style of your house and the furniture you have or plan on having. Take a look at the walls and get an idea of what type of artworks these pictures have hanging and ask yourself whether this is something you like or not?

Secondly, look at your home and find where you would like to hang artwork and what size you will need. One thing to bear in mind here is that authentic artwork will increase in value over time, so you want to make sure that your walls can hold frames, and don’t get direct sunlight otherwise the artworks are going to be damaged over time

Thirdly, outline a budget of what you would like to spend. There are multiple avenues here; you may want to buy a lot of pieces all at once which will mean you have to spend less per artwork, or you could spend more time curating your home and spend more per piece but go considerably longer with empty wall space.

Finally, look for your artworks and purchase!

What we wanted to do here was also talk a little bit about the types of prints you can purchase. If you are looking at artworks and thinking, I will never be able to afford this! Worry not. There are plenty of places to buy affordable artwork and we're one of them!

Check out our products for unique art that no-one else you know will have. All of our work comes with authenticated certificates meaning they will grow in value whilst they fill your home with beauty. This is going to be incredibly important for creating a collection of artwork that will build value over time if you ever decide to sell. We strongly recommend avoiding generic mass produced prints because they are expensive and have no value. To build a beautiful art collection, you need either original pieces, or limited edition artworks which will hold or grow their value!
